Iran women’s national futsal team beat Italy women’s futsal team 3-1 in a friendly match in Teahran.

The match took place at Payambar Azam complex in Islamic Azad University Tehran Central Branch (IAUTCB) on Thursday.
Iran dominated the match early on, taking the lead with an own goal by one of the Italian players. Sara Shirbeygi then scored the second goal for Iran to give Shahrzad Mozaffar’s girls a 2-0 cushion at the break.
In the second half, Italy played better but again Iranian players were in cruise control and created a bunch of opportunities and finally scored the third goal, once more through an auto-goal by the rival players. Italian women’s national futsal team pulled a goal back and the game ended up 3-1.
Iran is preparing for the 2018 AFC Women’s Futsal Championship which will take place in Thailand, between 2 and 12 May 2018.
