Shaikh Salman expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the IR Iran Football Federation for their generosity and hospitality for the AFC delegation during their trip to Tehran.

FFIRI- according to AFC.Com, At the end of the successful visit Shaikh Salman expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the IR Iran Football Federation for their generosity and hospitality for the AFC delegation during their trip to Tehran.
"I am impressed by the professional organisation of the second Conference on Science and Football which was inaugurated by FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter yesterday," said Shaikh Salman.
He added that football is the most popular game around the world and it gives a unique message of unity to all including players, teams and officials.
"As an AFC President, it gives me great pleasure to acknowledge the excellent bilateral relations with IRIFF which is one of the most active and developed Member Associations in Asia,” he added.
During the brief visit, Shaikh Salman was honoured and privileged to have audience with President of Islamic Republic of Iran, HE Dr. Hassan Rouhani as well as Vice-President and Head of Environmental Protection Organisation, HE Dr. Masoumeh Ebtekar and Speaker of the Iranian Parliament HE Dr. Ali Larijani.
Shaikh Salman hailed the professional organisation of the grassroots (U-12) festival, which was inaugurated at the IRIFF Football Academy.
The AFC President also praised the effort undertaken by IRIFF to develop the grassroots initiatives in particular and football in general under the leadership of IRIFF President Ali Kafashian and again congratulated the Iranian nation for qualifying to the FIFA World Cup 2014 Brazil and wished them all the success.
Mr. Kafashian, in turn, warmly welcomed Sheikh Salman to IR Iran and appreciated the support given by AFC to IRIFF for the development of the game. He further thanked the AFC President for his wishes to the national team for qualifying to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Shaikh Salman left Iran for China for the AFC Champions League final which will take place on November 9 in Guangzhou.
